The Story: Friends in Sight

It started with a shared perspective.

We met over a decade ago and quickly became best friends, eventually running GLCO Queen West, the Garrett Leight California Optical Store in Toronto. After five years of managing GLCO Queen West, we took the leap toward Prince Edward County in search of a slower life and a deeper connection to nature and our community.

Friends in Sight wasn’t born in a boardroom; it was built on a friendship. After years spent at the intersection of high-end optics and artistry, we realized that the most important part of vision care wasn’t just the lens—it was the relationship.

We brought our collective experience to Prince Edward County to create something different: a locally, women-owned studio rooted in compassion, radical honesty, and a genuine love for what we do.

Precision meets Personal.

As opticians and stylists, we see eyewear as a balance of technical precision and individual expression. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions or high-pressure sales. Instead, we offer a curated, one-on-one experience designed to find the exact frame that reflects your character and meets your visual needs.

Whether you’re visiting us at our Wellington studio or connecting with us from across Canada, our approach remains the same. We take the time to get it right, we’re transparent about the process, and we treat every pair of eyes with the care they deserve.

Beyond the frame.

In an industry that can often feel clinical or corporate, we choose to stay personal. We develop relationships that last long after you leave our studio. That is the core of our name: we are your advocates, your stylists, and your Friends in Sight.
